Dr. Arthur Novick, an alumnus of UCLA, graduated from the Northwestern University Dental School in 1970. He served two years in the United States Air Force Dental Corps, before starting practice in Reston in 1972. He is a fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and a past president of the Implant Society of Northern Virginia. Dr. Novick became an accredited member of the American Society of Dental Aesthetics in 1992; receiving Fellowship in 1999. In 2002, he became a Diplomate of the prestigious American Board of Aesthetic Dentistry, which has less than 50 members worldwide. Dr. Novick is proud to work along side his daughter, Dr. Kendra Novick, who has been with the practice since 1997. His wife, Nancy, is a prominent artist who exhibits her work nationally.

Dr. Gary Hartz, a Pittsburgh native, received his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University and his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the University of Pennsylvania Dental School. He served three years as an officer in the United States Naval Dental Corps, before he began private practice in 1982. Dr. Hartz is currently a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, recognizing his ongoing commitment to continuing education and professional development. Dr. Hartz has been an active member of the community serving as Cluster President, Optimist Club President, little league soccer coach and a volunteer at local dental clinics.

Dr. Robert Hall received his D.D.S. (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree from the Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1985. He practiced in Tennessee for two years before coming to Reston in 1987. Dr. Hall is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Association and the Northern Virginia Dental Society. He and his wife Janet own the Ravel Dance Studio in Reston.

Dr. Kendra Novick, a Reston native, was welcomed to the practice in 1997. She is a graduate of Duke University and The Madeira School. Dr. Novick followed in her father's footsteps by receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago, Illinois. Presently, Dr Novick divides her time between our Ashburn and Reston offices, treating both adults and children. As a member of the Northern Virginia Dental Society and the Potomac Falls Study Club, Dr. Novick regularly attends continuing education seminars on dental implants, cosmetic procedures and advanced dental technologies. In 2003, she was inducted into the American Society for Dental Aesthetics, an elite organization established to promote and teach the art of dentistry. When not in the office, Dr. Novick volunteers her time to dental education and screenings in the local schools and also serves as a mentor to the Reston Conservatory Ballet.

Dr. Sumit Sharma received his D.D.S. from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 1997. He completed a General Practice Residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, then joined Novick, Hartz, Hall and Associates in 1999. He is a current member of the Northern Virginia Dental Society, the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry. Outside the office, Dr. Sharma volunteers his time to numerous charities providing free dental care for the underprivileged, and has future plans to partake in Doctors Without Borders.

Dr. Luis Martinez joined the practice in 1999, after practicing for several years in Northern Virginia. He studied biology at California State University at Fullerton, and then moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he graduated from Marquette University in 1992, and received his D.D.S. degree. He continued his dental education in Baltimore, completing a General Practice Residency at University Hospital. Dr. Martinez is a certified specialist in Prosthodontics. He completed his training at the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 1995 and an Implant Fellowship in 1996. This specialty focuses on the reconstruction of a complete dentition, or merely in the replacement of one or several teeth, often involving implants to replace teeth or to anchor a denture. Dr. Martinez is a member of the American Dental Association, the American College of Prosthodontists, the Fairfax County Dental Society, and the Virginia Dental Association.

Dr. Jeet Bhide, graduated from William and Mary University. He received his D.D.S. from the Medical College of Virginia in 2003. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Northern Virginia Dental Association. A native of Reston, he has returned to live in his home town. Dr. Bhide has traveled to India with the McLean Bible Church to provide dental services to orphans around the country. His wife, Jennifer, is a Registered Dietician who works as Senior Manager of
Nutrition Policy for the Grocery Manufacturers
Association in Washington, DC.
